Constance Liegl

Dr. Liegl’s scientific work focuses on the evaluation of glaucoma surgical procedures and the identification of biomarkers. She has published several studies on postoperative clinical outcomes following various glaucoma surgeries, with a particular emphasis on glaucoma drainage implants and ultrasound imaging. She is a scholarship recipient from the Ernst and Berta Grimmke Foundation for her project on imaging-based morphological analysis of filtering blebs after glaucoma drainage device surgery. In 2024, she was awarded the FEMHABIL Scholarship from the University of Bonn to support women in research. Additionally, she is a member of the European Glaucoma Society (EGS) and was selected for the EGS Next Generation Partnership Program in 2025.
