Janice Lam

Dr. Lam is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon in the division of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, with a special interest in paediatric cataract surgery, myopia management, and complex squints in children and adults. She has an interest in clinical and academic research and has authored several scientific papers and book chapters. For her research excellence, she was recently awarded the ESA Best Rapid Fire presentation and NUHS Best Research Mentor awards. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Lam also actively supports the education of medical students, junior doctors and residents. Recognising her work in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, Dr. Lam has received several awards, including the National University of Singapore Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence and National University Hospital Singapore Teaching Excellence Award.
